Subodh Kant Sahay

Background
A trained lawyer, Subodh Kant Sahay was the Minister of State for Food Processing in the previous government. He has been actively involved with the Non-Aligned Student and Youth Organisation (NASYO). His educational qualifications include B.Sc and L.L.B. He was educated at A N College, Patna and Ranchi University. He was the member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly from 1978-1989 and was elected to the 9th Lok Sabha in 1989. He was Union Minister of State for Home from April 1990 to November 1990 and Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting and from November 1990 to June 1991. Subodh Kant Sahay was re-elected to 14th Lok Sabha in 2004 and became the Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries with independent charge.
