Mundra Power Project

From GovernIndia

The Mundra Power Project is one of India's new Ultra Mega Power projects. On completion, the project is slated to establish 5 super-critical units of 800 MW each. It is being developed by Tata Power. The project was handed over to Tata Power on 23rd April, 2007 and is expected to be commissioned during the 11th five-year plan [1]. However, as per the annual report of the Ministry of Power, only two of the five units are expected to be commissioned during the XI plan.

Orders for turbine and steam generator have been placed by the developer. Piling work of all boilers, turbines and chimneys has been completed and structural erection work for boilers is in progress. [2]
