Background
Kantilal Bhuria, a law graduate who prefers to be known as an agriculturist and a social worker, has been given a Cabinet berth in his fourth term as the Member of Parliament from Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh.
Bhuria, 59, who was Minister of State for Agriculture during 2004-09, is one of the few congress leaders who has been consistently winning the Lok Sabha elections since 1998, even when his party's performance has declined in the state.
Apart from the LLB degree from the Chandrashekhar Azad College, he has also completed Masters of Arts from the institute where he held the position of president in 1973-74.
