Liquor factory in Gadchiroli district

- The Government of Maharashtra is considering a proposal for the setting up of a liquor factory in the district of Gadchiroli.
- The liquor produced would be derived from Moha flowers which grow in the district.
- The district was declared "anti-liquor" and licenses for consuming and selling liquor are banned in Gadchiroli.
- According to liquor policy for tribal people of the Central Government, no liquor should be produced or sold in tribal areas. Maharashtra Government has also adopted this policy in 1977.
