Background
A member of the 14th Lok Sabha, Bijoy is the son of Krishna Kanta Handique. He is Minister of State in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers and Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. He did his MA from Calcutta University. He is an industrialist and a social worker. Handique was re-elected for the fifth term in the 14th Lok Sabha.
