Airport Safety

From GovernIndia

The crash of the Air India aircraft at Mangalore Airport on May 22nd, 2010 has triggered concerns about the safety and compliance of the various runways in the country. India has over 200 airports[1] of various sizes and capabilities.

There are several parameters on which an airport has to be compliant. In the case of the Mangalore crash, the most immediate concern has been related to the length of the runway.
